My Story
For years, I was trapped in a cycle of pain—addiction, depression, and the weight of unresolved childhood trauma. It felt like no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t escape the constant struggle. I was stuck in survival mode, using anything I could to numb the pain and silence the ruminating thoughts.
But I’ve learned that healing isn’t about eliminating pain. It’s about learning how to live with it, to process it, and to find a way forward. I began my journey through ancient healing practices, mindfulness meditation, and polyvagal toning, which gave me the tools to calm my nervous system and reconnect with my body. I found that true healing happens when we integrate mind, body, and spirit—and when we let go of the shame that holds us back.
Today, I still work at a sexual violence center, helping survivors navigate their healing, and coach individuals with anxiety and depression using trauma-informed, CBT-based methods. These experiences, along with my personal journey, have shown me the power of emotional processing, nervous system regulation, and creative expression.
